A successful premiere ... to be repeated in moderation!
This was a landmark event for budding oenologists. The wine tasting evening, organized by Valérie HOUVERTUS (Fougères 1984-1985), accompanied in this very warm and innovative meeting by Eva BERTAUD (Vallon 2016-2018) and Maël POULIQUEN, was much commented on.
The workshop, led by Valérie, (reasonably) trained the participants (some neophytes), old hands from all the houses, to better apprehend different kinds of crus, for future aperitifs and dinners. It's not a question of revising grape varieties and hillsides before arriving at the CAVAVIN, but of being ready to feel with the mind, the nose, the palate and the eyes, a robe, a tannin, a perfume of fruit, or of sunny soil.
Things got a little tougher in the blind tasting, but that didn't stop the participants from coming back for another exercise.
