My dearest alumni,
On my darling Jean's birthday, I had the pleasure of drinking a glass of champagne and eating a salted butter caramel ice cream, which cooled me off nicely in this heatwave.
I enclose photos of the event.
Thank you for all your expressions of sympathy, affection and love, which are posted by my bed. It's very comforting!
I'm still very tired and I'll need more time to get over this ordeal.
I think of you constantly and love you. I kiss you tenderly.
