The film
Hot or cold, sunny or rainy, day or night, Paris is beautiful, lively, intellectual and charming. Because we live nearby or visit so often, we sometimes think we know everything there is to know about the capital! But have you ever chatted with bookshop owner Jérôme Calais, whose boxes are located on the Left Bank between the Pont-Neuf and the Passerelle des Arts?
Have you listened to him talk about his unique ancestral craft, which he is trying to have listed as a World Heritage Site?
A little further on, you'll find the exceptional craftsmen restoring the masterpiece that is the Pont Alexandre III. Further still, there's the Porte de Clignancourt, the Porte de Saint-Ouen... and the famous Flea Market - a change of scenery! Among the merchants, antique dealers talk about their atypical trade, while their stalls are visited by artists who breathe new life into the Puces.
For a while, we'll sit down at "La chope des Puces", the temple of gypsy jazz, next to Marcel Campion. The fairground boss will tell us of his love for Paris and for the music that runs through his veins... And we'll take part in the famous "Dîner Blanc", which brings together 15,000 guests on the Esplanade des Invalides!
After all that hustle and bustle, here's the Père Lachaise cemetery, the most visited cemetery in the world, a haven of peace and contemplation north of the capital...
In autumn, Paris harvests at the Clos Montmartre vineyard! Lionel Isy-Schwart met with winegrowers and members of parliament from the Republic of Montmartre!
Winter in Paris is the perfect time to stroll through the romantic gardens of the Palais Royal and the Parisian passages that bear witness to the splendor of the 19th century. In Passage du Bourg l'abbé, Ivan Lulli, an exceptional cabinetmaker, will talk to us about the passion he inherited from his father.
December is here, and Paris Ville Lumière is shining with all the end-of-year lights...
Suddenly, it's snowing... a magical sight!
