École des Roches awaits your visit
From April 11 to 13, École des Roches will be taking part in the Eurasia-Study Travel trade show in Istanbul, Turkey, at the Marmara Hotel on Taksim Square in the heart of the city.
L'École des Roches will be represented by Catherine Janvier, FLE (French as a Foreign Language) Director, who, with thirty-one years' experience at the school, will be happy to answer any questions visitors may have about enrolling their child at the school.
The French as a Foreign Language program, which has been running successfully for a number of years, welcomes students aged between 11 and 18 who do not speak French. They come to learn French or improve their skills in Voltaire's language, for periods ranging from a minimum of three weeks to a maximum of one year. They live alongside other students, in houses in the heart of a 60-hectare campus.
The intensive program offers a rich intellectual experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere:
- Practicing French in classes of no more than 15 students, and rubbing shoulders with other French students at the school, during a wide range of cultural, social and sporting activities.
- By validating their knowledge of French through the DELF diploma (excellent success rate).
- By taking immersion courses at secondary school.
- Visiting museums, Loire castles and other exceptional sites every 15 days to learn about French history, and ending the school year with a visit to a French region accompanied by the teachers.
What's more, thanks to her in-depth knowledge of the school, Catherine Janvier can also advise parents whose children wish to take a French or International Baccalaureate (IB).
Known the world over, École des Roches is renowned for its exceptional educational system, devised over a century ago by Edmond Demolins. Its motto is: "Well armed for life".
